Erica first encountered pole while watching online performances from her home in Lake Stevens. She had grown up playing soccer, but had never danced. Despite this lack of experience, she became determined to learn the art of pole dance. She attended her first pole class in Vancouver, B.C. in 2014.
Erica quickly fell in love with the challenge of learning new pole moves, and the positivity of the pole community. In 2015 she moved to northeastern China, where she joined a local studio learning stylistic differences in teaching pole dance. Since returning to the United States, Erica has found a home at Aquarela Pole Dancing and is excited to continue her pole journey here.
Erica credits pole with increasing her confidence and helping her feel comfortable in her own skin. She loves the encouraging environment at Aquarela and sharing the excitement as dancers reach their goals. She hopes to infect others with her enthusiasm for pole, and to help students come into their own grace and strength as they begin their pole journeys.
